Lost serial number for Sims 2 Pets
Okay... I was told to do this process to get my code back since I lost the manual........
1. Click your start button and go to run and type in regedit and hit enter.
2. On the left side of the screen that pops up click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Then the plus sign next to Software
4. Then the plus sign next to Electronic Arts
5. Then the plus sign next to EA Games in there you will find all your installed games listed.
6. Click the plus sign next to the game and in there is a folder with the name ergc
7. Click that and then on the right panel you'll see a number under data - that is your registration number for that game.
I did all that but when I get to step 5.... Sims Pets isnt there and thats the game I lost the manual to with the code on it. So I dont know what to do. I need to reinstall the game cuz of problems with it but what else can I do if its not there?
And yes its already installed so techincally it should be there unless I am doing something wrong.
Please Help.
