unable to open winrar files
Respected Sir,
I recently downloaded some patches for my game from the website http://www.sportplanet.com/cricket2002/cricket/cricketsite/cricket.htm The website says you need to have winrar3.0 to extract the patches. I then downloaded winrar3.0 form the site told by you. But i recieve an error that says that the file is either in an unknown format or damaged. Please help me what should i do?

Hi Sushant Virdi
u should redownload the patch file in a different location on ur HDD. and make sure that it completes the download...
and just an advice, just try opening other rar files by the program to remove doubts that the program is defected...

u should download winrar3.0 from the internet.
It is the only way to Extract ur file.
to do so, goto http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
and download it.

I download win.rar . when i extract the file it show document security is removed close the document and it automatically close the pdf document

I have 5 parts to a movie and am tying to extract them but winrar is telling me no volume and error the file archieve ended? I'am just to confused, oh and it says the file is corupted

Make sure you are using the most recent version of Winrar. If you have an older version trying to open an archive that was created with a newer version it won't work and you will get corrupt header errors.

I downloaded a movie. It is a rar format. but i am not able to extract file . my winrar version is above 3.0 and but when i tried to extract it. it will display a message " you need a previous volume of winrar to unpack this file"

I backed up all my good stuff as winRAR files on dvd before doing a re-install and now when i've put them back on my computer it can't open them as it say's unknown format or damaged? please help

i tried to extract a .rar file and got an error message about the RIAA and it shut down my computer within 25 seconds saying that a notice or something will be sent to my address... wtf?
