i got the driver in was usin it and then a power serch happened and now i cant get it to reckinze it help me please ?????????

My computer will not recognize my CD burner, I get a message which states that the registry information is incomplete or damaged(message 19 in XP troubleshooter). How can I remedy this situation. My DVD drive has been affected as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI,
My computers cd-rw drive (as subject line above)is not working. I get the attached message when I right click on it in device manager:
"Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)"
I'd appreciate any help I can get on this asap.

Hi,
My DVD player drive is not responding in any way and has diappeared from My Cpmuter drives listing. In device manager I get the following message when I click on the device:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
I'd appreciate any help on this please.

Just as Drew said, my HL-DT-ST-CD-RW-GCE-8481B won't read any CD's whatsoever. Games, music, nothing. Please, anyone with a working link, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i dont kno much about computer but gonna say it short and simple. i try to watch a dvd and it cannot read, so i look in device manager and there (2yellow question mark)
1- HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE 8481B
2- LITEON DVD-ROM LTD163
i have a dell dimension 4550, and also i try to fix my pc with the reinstallation cd microsoft windon xp home edition,doesnt read pls help i need does drivers??? ;p

since receiving my pc back from a repair shop I cannot install software for my camera, computer games nor play any audio cds. The cd spins but nothing else happens. Any hints on what these so called specialists have done to stop the cd rom from working? I have never encountered a problem with my cd rom before until these people messed around with it. |
