Koss KD260-2 DVD Player says Dealer Lock On
I have a Koss KD260-2 DVD player. In the last 48 hours it has decided to show me the message \"dealer lock on\" and will not eject the disc which remains in the player. Disc is \"Thirteen\" from the video store in Golden BC. This is the 1st time this has happened since I have had the machine.
How do I get the disk out so I do not receive late charges. |

Hi Steve,
I would be tempted to just take a butter knife and pry the DVD tray
open. I would expect that to work, though I don't know much about your
particular DVD player. Let me know if that works or if you find another
solution.

Thanks I ended up getting the disk out this morning. I hit the stop and power button at the same time and then the open tray and it opened releasing the disk.

OK, I tried that "stop & power" button on mine and it didn't work. Any other suggestions? |

Hi Paul,
You hold the stop button on your dvd player then you press your power button from your remote.

Im having the same "dealer lock" problem with my koss dvd player. I dont have the original remote and nothing seems to work with the universal remote. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with the dealer lock and it would not open.....
Suggestion: Press the STOP and OPEN button at the same time and then manually press the ON button and the DVD compartment opens. |

Thanks very much to Paul. I had the same "dealer lock" problem with my Koss DVD player, and holding the stop button on the machine then pressing the power button on the remote fixed it immediately. I was just about ready to try the butter knife! Thanks again. |

I have tried all the buttons and all of the combinations above. It doesn't work. Do you have any other suggestions before I dismantle the machine...?
