RE: REwritable CD ROM

Hi Sara,

If you are able to get other CD-ROMs to show up when you insert them into your computer, then it is most likely that particular CD-ROM that is damanged and has been rendered unreadable.

On the other hand, if you cannot get any CD-ROMs to show up when you insert them into your computer then there is most likely a problem with your CD-ROM drive. It is probably not due to any drivers as Windows already comes with built-in drivers that are sufficient for purposes of reading from any CD-ROM drive. The issue in this case would be due to a hardware problem with your drive and the easiest way to fix this would be to simply replace the drive.

Eric.
