test site cannot find my cd dvd drive
I am applying for a work at home position with Teletech and part of the process is to allow workbooth.net/assesment to run a technical assesment of my computer for compatibility. After running the test they say: Your computer lacks a CD or DVD drive, or it cannot be found.

I was told to uninstall/reinstall my cd. I was also told to buy a Belkin F5D5050 Ethernet adapter. I was just reading your site about deleting 'Upper and Lower filters, would this help my problem?? |

This is Norman Moss again about the test site and my dvd drive. I have a LITE-ON DVDRW SHW 160P6S Drive and I think I know how to uninstall/reinstall the driver but any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a Stroke victim and really need this job. Thank you. |

Hi Norm,
Can you see your CD-ROM drive when you go to "My Computer" from the desktop? Try double clicking on My Computer and see if any CD-ROM drives appear. If not, the Upper and Lower filters you were reading about on this site could solve your issue.

Thanks for responding Eric. Yes, my drive shows up as DVD-RW Drive (e:). A tech person at Teletech said that the Ethernet Adapter would solve all my problems. I have ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive. |
