RE: Installing the HP Deskjet 3650 Printer on Windows Vista

Hi Debra,

If you are using Windows Vista, you should not need a CD for installing your HP Deskjet 3650 printer as Windows Vista comes with built in support for that particular printer. This is why our driver CD for the HP Deskjet 3650 will not work with Windows Vista.

Just follow these steps to get it working in windows Vista:

1. Turn on the printer
2. Connect the printer to your computer by plugging in the USB cable into a USB port at the back of the computer.
3. You might then see a "Your devices are ready to use" window show up on the screen.
4. Test the printer by printing a page using any application of your choice (example: Type a few words in Wordpad and try printing them out on the printer).

Hope that helps,

Eric.

What if it doesn't work? I have the same problem. The printer is "there" but does not do anything if i want to print something. It just doesn't react.

My HP3650 is connected to a Sitecom LN306 printserver.
I cannot print to it from my Laptop with Vista.
Printing from my PC with XP is no problem.

So how to use the built-in Vista driver for my HP3650
