Compaq Presario 5000 US
I have major issues with this old computer. I had already installed windows xp and then I let some people borrow it because I don't really need it. Got it back and it's real jacked up. It won't even load to windows.... just says it is missing file, "
then i boot from cd and it takes a long time on the Kernel Debugger DLL so i restart and boot from cd again, then it gets to the Kernel Debugger DLL again and quickly says, "File setupdd.sys could not be loaded. The error code is 4. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit."
so any secrets or suggestions or what can i do? i'm not willing to spend any money but i will put plenty of time into fixing it.
