I also have Style Pack 2. It seems that we should have to reunite moeny in order to purchase the version that comes in DVD which is not serial-protected. |

If you have the executable installation file it's more simple to extract the style pack files.
Start the installation (launch the excutable file).
Insert a casual activation key and press enter
DO not close the installation window!!!!
Now see in disk C: ->documents and settings -> folder with your user->local settings->Temp
there is a folder named mvu..... that contains old stylepack files.
copy these files in a new directory and rename they in *.PXS.
Now you can close the installation windows and open proshow producer 4, add one picture to a new show and after select it and in the main menu select slide-> manage styles-> import.
Chose the directory with the PXS files and import they (one by one) in the proshow and Enjoy!!!

Thanks for your help guys & girls. Giancarlo's process works great.
I couldn't find the Temp Folder in Vista though. Was a piece of cake in XP.
One thing that I will suggest is to download a file extention changer so that you don't have to change 83 files individually.

Odd !!
Even though I imported all the styles into proshow, some of them do not appear in the list to be selected.
And at least one (Slot Machine), does not work the way it suppose to.
Anyone else have this problem and found a solution? |

On Windows Start menu, select "run" then enter "%temp%" (without quotation marks) and press the Enter key, it will take you to the Windows temp folder.

Thanks Skysurfer, not sure if that works on Vista as there is no 'run' option from the start menu but managed to borrow a laptop with XP on it and open the files that way and it all works great.

Thank you giancarlo...works just great...but true from JackBnimble post...the slot machine does not work properly (21 slides, but only the middle slot moves 1 time and then complete stop) Does anyone have the same problem and any fix? Thanks |

So Style pack 1 & 2 are readily available to download from pretty much anywhere now.
I recently had to send my laptop to fix what I was certain was a hardware issue. HP was kind enough to erase my entire hard drive.
Anyhow, in having to re-install all my software, I discovered that it was much easier to put the style packs directly into the directory where they belong. Works fine. Even the slot machine that I mentioned earlier was an issue, is no longer an issue.
No need to import them one at a time through "manage styles".
For the style packs. Just simply copy the ALL the files and just drop them into the folder where they belong. Which is going to be
C:\Program Files\Photodex\ProShowProducer\styles
