I have no sound from my pc. it has been fine until the last few days. I turn it donw at night but when I tried to turn it up I get no sound.
My speakers are lit but my control panel says there is no sound device and it is shaded so that I cannot put a check mark by the sound device....
Pleas help!! |

Hi Craig,
Check in the Device Manager to see if your sound card is detected and working. You can get to the device manager by right-clicking on My Computer (on your desktop) and selecting "Properties" from the context menu that shows up. Then click on the "Hardware" tab and then click the "Device Manager" button.

| pc sound is shakky
i ust did what i thot was an update of my sound driver and after that whenever my pc plays a sound it kind oa sounds shakky or like it will skip, just an under sound of shakkiness is heard under the real audio i hear, same is with windows shutting down or startinf up, the windows xp opening sound does the same shaky thing, so i dont know what is happening or what is going on, pls what do you suggest i do to sort thi out son. |
