Is it possible to have a DVD software compatible to work with the
"Hp cd-writer 8400 series" .
If it is exist, where can i get it?

I have one 8200 series cd writer, but unfortunately my cd writer softwere corrupted.So I cannot use that drive.I want some help from yours end.

You can download the software from HP, or other download sites. you can also send me your E-mail and I can attatch it to a message. It is saved on my flash drive.

How do eaxactly go about hooking up the cd writer if I dont have any type of disk for this.The writer came from a friend.But I plug it up and I dont get anything on my computer that recognizes it.Is there something I am not doing or something I am doing wrong??Please somebody,somwhere let me know what to do. My cd software is corrupted, i had to download this driver, I have installed it but its still demanding for the driver, i hvae search through all my computer, and stll is not going pls help me on wat to do.

Hi Awa Ulu,
You can buy some software for burning CDs using your HP Cd-Writer Plus 8200 such as Nero Burning ROM or Roxio Easy CD Creator. There are also many freeware programs available that let you burn CDs. Some free CD and DVD burning software packages include:
ImgBurn
InfraRecorder
DeepBurner Free Version
CD Burner XP Pro
You can download and try each of these CD writing programs free and then keep using the one you like most for free forever (since it is free software).
Let us know what you find best!

OKAY I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THIS CD-DRIVE BUT I DID FOUND OUT THAT AT FRIST WHEN I CONNECT MY (CD-DRIVE=Hp cd-writer plus 8200)MY COMPUTER DIDN'T RECONIZE MY DRIVE SO WHAT I DID IS TAKE OUT THE CD-DRIVE AND WHERE THE PLUG IN THE BACK OF THE CD-DRVE THERE A LITTLE Clup-(where it say master,slave,cable select)I WOULD PUT IT ON ((CABLE SELECT))
