DVR writer Reads but does not Write
I have exact same issue. Reads but does not write
1st things 1st
Q:Did you check if the Writer is working on another computer?
-I tried it works.
A: The writer files are knocked off, may be removed while removing a Virus or uninstalling a writer software.
-Try updating firmware or a different burning software(uninstall previous software 1st), Update codecs.
-If you were using multiple burning softwares then delete upper and lower filters from registry( google it to find exact procedure and location)
-Check if the required service is working in services.msc( Command prompt) as mentioned above
-If still doesn't work format/reinstall the OS.
Q:Writes but only 30 mins of the movie.(Usually seen when writing CDs)
-If nero, its the version of nero which does not have the proper codecs esp the ones below v7,
-Go for latest Nero or a different burning software
-Update codecs pack
System restore is one good tool you can use, if it was working earlier
Just restore to the day it was working

Same problem really need help please help. my laptop used to work fine. a nother guy had the same problem with vista so I INSTALLED xp for him and the problem was solved. but I DON'T WANT TO FORMAT THERE MUST BE A BETTER SOLUTION |
