My CD Burner doesn't burn!
I have a cd burner that has been on my computer for a while but just recently it stopped working~ It will read cds fine but when I try to burn something, the cd pops out and it tells me there has been a hardware error. I switched burning software but the same problem still comes up.Please help me!!

I have a Compaq Presario and I use Musicmatch Jukebox as my primary media player. For some time, I have been able to burn CD's successfully as well as rip songs from other CD's. That has suddenly ended. I seem to be experiencing problems to the point where everything just freezes while a CD is being burned. What could the problem be?

THAT THING IS AS PIECE OF CRAP,EVERY TIME I PUT A CD/DVD IN IT LOCKS UP MY ENTIRE SYSTEM AND I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT TO RESTART.COULD ANY BODY TELL ME WHY.
I ALSO HAVE A "HP CD-WRITER PLUS cd16f", I THINK I JUST NEED THE RIGHT DRIVER FOR IT BECAUSE I USED A DRIVER DISK FOR AN EXTERNAL HP WRITER "8220E,8230E" AND NOW I CAN ONLY WRITE CD'S AT UP TO 2X SPEED.ANY FASTER AND IT GIVES AN UNDER RUN LAYER ERROR.TO GET TO THE POINT COULD SOME BODY LET ME KNOW IF THEY COME ACROSS A DRIVER FOR AN "HP CD-WRITER PLUS cd16f". please and thank you.

I have a Dell 3000 my Cd burner/writer used to work perfect But now on Windows media player 11 it will rip but not burn says no disc on nero ,sonic and I tunes the same I have tried several types of disc

though it works well with dvd's. what can be the problem? how can it be
