I have a Dell 4500. I have a DVD Drive and a CD-RW Drive. The DVD drive is working fine - reading discs of all kinds no problem. CD-RW drive however is not reading anything or burning CD's. I tried Mircrosoft fix it. It finds problem but can fix it - Said Malfuntioning drive. I tried reinstalling the drive, Playing with the registry settings - All look good everything is there including autoplay, recording tab Etc. I have itones9 on my PC - Has Windows XP Pro on it. Does anyone have ideas? help!!
