Write protect SD Memory Cards

I had a write protect message on memory cards. It was locked I slid the lever on side down reinsert card still locked slid it up still locked. I put clear tape on the notch start from under the brass metal all the way to the bottom side end of the card - don't worry if the tape is on both sides - just as long as it is under the brass metal and covers every bit of the groove. if the tape extends 3/4 to the bottom that is fine. This worked for me - hope it works for you. I also click explore - click the drive the card is on- right click properties - click sharing -at the top - click advanced sharing - click permissions - click everyone - full control, change, read, i have everyone as that was the default given - U really don't care if i have everyone as I just want this card to work,,,
