I have LG drive 52x24x52x with driver HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8523B installed on Celeron2GHz with Win98. When I do tests for it, the very maximum of speed of reading data is 13.68x (sth about 2,3Mb/sec). Why is this while the front cover says that the speed should be: 52x24x52x. The HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8523B driver is the default driver supplied by Win98.
Should I install another driver? |
