I have recently brought a cd-rw and had it installed. But it doesn't seem to work. I can play cds on it but i can't record on it. It seems my computer is reading them as hard disks is this normal? when i go to device manager on my computer i see the two following messages under hard disks primary IDE controller (single filo) and secondary IDE controller (single filo). those two names have a yellow circle with and exclamation mark in them. Please someone help i'm desperate. |

What type of software are you using to write to your CD-Rs? You have to use special software such as Adaptec Easy CD Creator or Nero Burning ROM.
The Cd-Writer should show up as a Cd-Rom drive when you are browsing in My Computer.
