RE: New CD is write protected?

I use an IITronics mp3 player too. When you rip a CD to Windows Media player, you need to make sure the copy protect tab is UNCHECKED (Tools, Options, Rip Music).

Then you can copy over the required music files using drag and drop in Explorer. Just connect the player via the supplied USB and you should get a removable F: drive icon.

Hope This Helps

What is the correct answer to how do you remove write-protected from a CD
Andy on October 17, 2005
RE: New CD is write protected?

Kelly, you have it set to the intro mode. when playing a track, press in the top left button and go to play mode, you should see repeat, shuffle and intro. go on intro and turn it off then go to the repeat and select which one you want - repeat all will play throuh each track in order.

hope that helps

RE: New CD is write protected?

I have just bought an IItronics iMP-11 512mb player. I have had no problem getting it to play music from CDs, but it says 'file error' when I play downloaded tracks (even though these are WMA files). Is there any way I can convert my downloaded tracks so that they can be played? Otherwise its going back to the shop!
Cheers

RE: New CD is write protected?

I had the same problem most of you are getting, the message which reads "disk is write protected, remove write protection or try another disk" I managed to overcome this just by fiddling with the MP3 player, I turned it on/off, changed battery and unlocked the "hold" button, (I HAVE A IITRONICS IMPII MP3 PLAYER - 256MB) now I can transfer files, HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT PLAY FROM THE MP3 PLAYER, BUT THEY WILL PLAY FROM THE PC, CAN ANYONE HELP ME........PLEASE
