RE: removing write protection

I do this with the music CDs I purchase....You have to copy your CD to a folder(my documents, music folder, etc.) on your hard drive first. You can use Windows Media Player or Realone Player, doesn't matter. Right click the whole music album/folder or right click the individual song or highlighted songs. In the section where it says 'attributes' click on the 'Advanced' button. Under 'Advanced Attributes' look at very bottom and checkmark the 'Encrypt contents to secure data' box. Then when it's done applying the attributes, you can copy the files to your mp3 device or whatever device it is.

Window minimize automatically

how do i stop this from happening again... every window i open will go minimize in half a second... there is no anti-virus installed to it, i tried to installed AVG to it, but cannot because when i double click on it, it will show only for a flash and minimize again.. so i installed Adware, and it did remove some critical objects, but still window keeps minimizing without me doin' it.....need help ....

RE: removing write protection

I have the same problem, and I just came up with an answer: copy everything off of the disk, get a new disk, copy them onto the new disk, then you don't need the old disk.

RE: removing write protection

This is total nonsense! Everybody asking the same question and no answers. One question would have been enough. It's answers we want. It would be so much easier if the one with the answers would put in their heading: HERE IS THE ANSWER!

RE: removing write protection

Ok, let me approach the problem this way,

I'm using a Kingston data traveller 4GB usb drive. I can write to it on every machines except my company laptop and also from desktops inside company network. The reason is company is using only readonly drivers (with windows for automatic installation) to disable copying of data in to such devices.

I think the solution is to get a proper driver to enable writing.

Unfortunately, Kingstons site says driver is already shipped with windows, so no sepearte download available except for win 9x

If anybody knows any other reasons may please correct me.
