Hi Martin,
Upgrading your video card on a laptop is unfortunately tricky. If you had a desktop it would be a simple matter of purchasing a new video card and swapping it with your old one. But with laptops, the components tend to be proprietary and difficult to get to. The video card must fit in the laptop and interface properly with the laptop's motherboard...and for all we know it may even be an integrated video card (integrated with the motherboard) which cannot be upgraded. Laptops just aren't that upgradeable, unless it is a simple upgrade such as increasing the main RAM or the hard drive.
You can still check with Gateway to see if they have any video cards with more memory that can be installed in your particular laptop model.

Hi Shahabaz,
Increasing the video card memory in a laptop is not nearly as easy as upgrading the main system memory. You need to check with your laptop manufacturer to see if they offer a video card with more memory that can be installed to replace your current video card. Unfortunately, most of the time this is not available.
