Hi Cynthia,
To install your printer, you first need to download the printer drivers.
If you are using Windows XP or 2000, you can download the driver here:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software2/COL1573/dj-6971-4/3320-enu-2kxpinfu.exe
If you are using Windows 98 or ME, you can download the driver here:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software2/COL1574/dj-7016-4/3320-enu-win98_ME.exe
If you are using Windows Vista, then Vista should already come with the driver for your printer. Just choose "HP DeskJet 3500" as your printer model when choosing what printer model you have.
So just click the appropriate link above, save the driver somewhere on your computer (example: your desktop), then double click on that driver once it is done downloading. Then just follow the steps provided by the printer driver as shown on your screen.
