Hi Karen,
If you have lost the installation disc for your Dell 720 inkjet printer, your will have to download the Dell 720 printer driver from the internet. The version you need to download will depend on what operating system you are running.
If you are running Windows XP or Windows 2000, you can download the following driver for the Dell 720 printer:
Dell 720 Windows XP and Windows 2000 Printer Driver
If you are using Windows Vista, you can download this driver for the Dell 720 printer:
Dell 720 Windows Vista Printer Driver
So to install the Dell 720 printer driver, just download the appropriate driver above by clicking on the link. Then save this driver somewhere on your computer (example: your desktop). Then go to this location and double click the file you downloaded. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions for installing the Dell 720 printer driver.

Hi! I tried to download the Dell Software and run it as you suggested. I got an error telling me that I needed WINZIP software. So, I downloaded the WINZIP software. I ran the WINZIP software then tried to run the Dell 720 software and got the same error.
Can you please tell me what to do?

I downloaded driver and winzip and then it went to install driver, I pushed unzip and it said it had unzipped 72 files, then it went to license agreement and I said yes and then the box disappeared and it went back to the download box showing hte exe file for the driver. I have windows XP on this laptop and need to print badly. Help. S. |

I found an alternative way to install a Dell 720 on windows 7:
* Download the R149373.exe from Dell. Just type R149373 in google and it is the first hit.
* Extract the files.
* Locate the directory C:\dell\drivers\R149373\drivers\Win_XP2K\x64.
* Change the file endings of .ex_ .dl_ and .ic_ to .exe .dll and .icm respectively. Do this also in the directory named english.
* Click the start button, then go to "devices and printers", then click "add a printer".
* Choose the printer port you will plug your printer into. If you don't know which one it is just choose LPT1. Then click next.
* Instead of choosing a printer from the list, click "Have Disk...".
* Click "Browse..." and locate the file DLBCprc.inf in the directory C:\dell\drivers\R149373\drivers\Win_XP2K. Choose the file and click "Open".
* Your printer will now install! |
