cd writers

Hello,
I have just fitted a cd rw to my system.
On the control panel i have my original cd rom as d rive and the cdrw as e drive.
I can play cd's on e drive but when i come to copy using adaptec easy cd it says 'no writer fitted'
Any ideas?????
Cheers

RE: cd writers

I'm really not sure what the problem is. You could try installing the most recent version of Adaptec Easy CD Creator, as it might be more compatible with your CD-Writer (especially if you bought a model that has not been on the market for very long).

RE: cd writers

WHY CAN'T I SEE BOTH OF MY CD DRIVES (MY COMPUTER / PROPERTIES) WHEN I ATTEMPT TO CONNECT THEM WITH MY 48" 4-DEVICE 40 PIN IDE CABLE? WHEN I DISCONNECT ONE OF THE ROMS THE E DRIVE DESTINATION IS DISPLAYED AND WORKS PROPERLY. (HAVE 2 HDs / PRIMARY IDE CONTROLLER PORT - 2 CD ROMS (1 WRITER) CONNECTED TO SECONDARY (CD ROM PORT ) WITH MY 48" 4- DEVICE 40 PIN IDE CABLE). GENTLEMEN, HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
