To install the HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a All in one Printer driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating system
by clicking on the appropriate link above. A window should then show up asking you where you would like to save the file. Save the driver file somewhere

| Augie,That elevated posmirsiens part is to allow the user to modify the preferences. It's sprinkled all over the place in the current beta of Vista. There's a lot you can't do without running with elevated posmirsiens. I've found that some programs, such as VMware server, behave different (anything from certain options being greyed out to flat out quirkiness) unless you run with elevated posmirsiens (which are, of course, the normal set of posmirsiens people are used to using under XP and earlier). |

| I see XP x64bit listed ... Has anyone tested this driver on a x64 version of XP? I've tried installing the driver from HP it says its not compatible with x64 XP. Tried running as admin as well as compatibility mode and no luck. |
