I am having a huge crisis... I tried to install my internal cd writer at my office computer. At first I got an error message that said that the driver wasn't ready, and so I redid all the connections and made sure the master / slave were right. Then I restarted the computer and it did not recognize anything. It said I had to insert reboot disk... which I don't have. What can I do????? |

If you don't have a rebbot disk you can easily create one by going to START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/ADD,REMOVE PROGRAMS then click on the tab that says STARTUP DISK insert a floppy click create a disk and away you go. Restart your computer with the floppy in its drive and bob's your uncle and fanny's your aunt. easy.peasy.com |

When I go to the cd copier and open it it says
"CD COPIER COULD NOT LOCATE A SUPPORTED CD-ROM READER. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE DISC TO DISC COPIES." I don't know what to do. Both, the cd-rom and cd-writer work indiviualy. |

My cd writer wont read my burner. Whenever i try to create a cd it says that i need a cd writer to burn cds. My burner is labeled as a cd rom when i go to the control panel. I wonder how i can change that title, or if that is even the problem? Can anyone help me out? |

I am having Iomega ide cd writer 8*4*32. If i write at 8x speed the cd writes
at 4x speed but in the adaptec software it shows it writes at 8x but it
takes 22 minutes to write.For this instance i have changed my writer thrice
but the same problem exist and some times it also shows the error message
"power calibration Failure". I want to know whether this problem can be solved for ever . and i am writing with samsung 700MB cd |

My internal Sony CRX100E doesn't close his session anymore. I have got this computer with the writer now already 3years!Everything worked fine until tree months ago my audio mixes were unreadable because my writer didn't close the session!

I got a Samsung DVD/CD burner (combo). It worked fine for a year or so, but now 1 od 2 cd´s is ruined, it doesn´t finish the burn or i just can´t read it when it´s done. Is it because of the type of cd´s, or a burner problem? PLEASE, ANSWER ME. |

I've got an urgent problem. I'm trying to burn My own audio to CD for a record label.Its worked fine before,but recently I cant' write like more than one track to a cd.
Error message is usually "Buffer under run" or "track write error". I've tried Nero and easy CD creator software with no luck.
The files I'm burning are WAV.files
Any Clues?

i have a emachine computer. And i just got a external cd writer. and it came with nero-cd burning rom. and when i try to write a cd on the burn tab it says write and under that it says finalize with little boxs next to them so that you can check them and the finalize one doesn't always come up you can't check it. So i push the burn button and then it goes to about 80-85% then it like stops. but the time thing still goes up but really slow. Kinda like its going to fast for the computer. Or it will say the burn has failed and only burn like 84% of it. I don't understand what is wrong with it i installed it right followed the directions. And still don't get it.
SO i installied Easy-Cd creator and when i push the burn button it says it can't find Cd Recorder. If you can help me. It is really making me mad not being able to burn.
Please help me if you can.

I own a LITE on 24X10X40X
Up until recently when I upgraded from windows 98 to windows XP, it worked fine.
Now with windows XP, it doesn't read or burn ANY cds anymore. How to fix? I use Nero Adaptec which came with it, but when I try to burn cd, NERO says, can't find CD media.
How to fix this problem?

I just got the 40x12x40x Nero CD writer, and in the box says that CD-G is one of the Disc Formats included, but I can't find that format in anywhere, plus there is no general instruction for people to learn about this product. |

HELP ! I have had a HP cd-writer for about a year now. I recently installed Roxio cd 5 platinum and now my cd-writer wont read the cd media that I've always used before. I uninstalled the software. I also re-installed the hp cd-writer software to make sure I didnt lose any files. Nothing helped. Can anyone help me solve this darn issue. Help! A while ago I burned an audio CD, and it seemed to be normaln because the computer said it was successfully burned, but when I tried to play it, the only track that worked was the first track. I tried to play the CD in my CD player but it didn't work. After this, I tried burning another CD, but my writer (Creative Blaster 8432)won't detect any CDs, whether blank or written. Now, I can't write ANY cds, or even read ANY cds! What could be the problem? Please help! Thank you. |

I can not copy audio CD using Roxio's Platinum edition Disc Copier. The drive scans tracks until #9 and then hangs or rather keeps doing the scanning with no end. I have windows XP. There is no problem to copy data CD's using Disc Copier, only with audio ones. |

I have a hp cd-writer 9300 series CD Writer. When I unplug my computer to move it to a different area of my office...the red light on my cd-writer comes on and the icon in the task tray has a red circle with a slash through it. It won't work - and it won't recognize the cd-writer. When I go to my computer/properties/devices - it tells me that the cd writer is working fine. But the freakin door won't even open on the device, much less record anything.
In the past, I've solved this problem by taking the cover off of my computer, disconnecting the power cord to my cd writer, replacing the power, and then starting the machine back up.
This last move did it. Now the green light won't come on no matter what I do!

I am the administrator of a tire-plant in Armenia, and I am using a cd-writer for a backup ure data. Each computer has it's own cd and the user is responsible for that CD.We don't have to much data to back to start using a tape-backup this is more convinute to are company. Right know I am using CD-R and I want to start using CD-RW so I coule erase data and write over it again.
