You genious you! I'd like to hug your mind! :-)
I haven't been able to use my puter for 4 month and was about to reinstall the XP system,
but thought I might do torough search on the Internet first and luckily found this precious
TIP!
Erased extra info besides "kbdclass" in all the "Upper filter" and "Lower filter"-keys found
when searching for "kbdclass" in regedt32, had to use the "on screen keyboard" to do it.
Removed the installed drivers from device manager, keyboard first then the USB mouse.
When it froze I removed the USB connector. When reconnected it was properly recognized
by the device manger along with the ps/2 keyboard and the correct drivers loaded.
The info which I erased was from uninstalling ThreatFire earlier. The uninstall didn't
remove a pointer to "tfkbmon.sys".
I'm happy again! |

YOU ARE MY HERO!!!!. I printed the instructions and it only took me 2 times to get all the details right. It feels soooo good to be typing on my keyboard instead of using the on-screen keyboard.
Again a big hug and a million thanks. |

Thanks Bas13. I lost my keyboard after using malwarebytes and superantispyware to remove the trojan "XPAntiMalware2010". Got lucky and found this thread right away. Fixed immediately, didn't have to reboot. |

Just wanted to say Thank You very much..
Error happen when my clients Kaspersky IS 2010 treated the keyboard as keylogger and deleted it. System was infected w/ Anti-Spyware Soft.
Bas13, keep up the great work :-) |

What about if your mouse is not working from an usb port? Or ps2 port? Will the same procedure work? I dont want to delete something that could potentially cause more problems. |
