write protection

I had the same problem most of you are getting, the message which reads "disk is write protected, remove write protection or try another disk" I managed to overcome this just by fiddling with the MP3 player, I turned it on/off, changed battery and unlocked the "hold" button, (I HAVE A IITRONICS IMPII MP3 PLAYER - 256MB) now I can transfer files, HOWEVER THEY WILL NOT PLAY FROM THE MP3 PLAYER, BUT THEY WILL PLAY FROM THE PC, CAN ANYONE HELP ME........PLEASE

RE: write protection

when ur ripping from cd to device its always best to go threough windows media player 10

its simple put the cd in cd plyer drive then open up windown media player it should rgister that theres a disk on windows media plyer then click rip(its at the top)
it will then rip ur music to the libary.
then once its finished u thenplug in the mp3 player and there will be a colom on da right drag and drop ur files that u have ripped fdrom the libabry to the colom then click the synronise buttom at the bottom and then it will start

ps if u have file errers it cos da file is protected to tget rid of it rip from cd using windows media player so then u can listen to the song no metter wether its protected or not
hope this help some1
thanks

RE: write protection

Also had problems with write protection. Was trying to TX MP3 files on a DVDR to a asono MP3 player. Was pulling my hair out until I found this web site http://www.dsg.cs.tcd.ie/~haahrm/copying-protected-cds/
Followed the guys instructions (sort of) and it worked first time. No changing batteries turning on and off etc....

RE: write protection

Hi,
Same problem re WRITE PROTECTION. Removed and replaced battery, checked HOLD etc etc.
Eventually worked out that the MP3 player had to be switched OFF when connected to PC (PC powers it up) and everything copied onto it and deleted fine.
It's a longshot but, hey, give it a go, you never know. Regards, stitch

RE: write protection

My friend has a Akura AEMP668-1G 1gb mp3 player.
We put around 950mb of music on it through media player, but it didn't recognise it 'cos it was all in folders.
I took the music out of the folders and put everything on it file-by-file, but it won't seem to let us put on more than 99 songs.
We can put new songs on if we delete an old one but can't get above 99.

Any ideas?
