RE: write protection

Wonder if anyone can help i have a akura aemp668 igb mp3 player , when i switch it on and plug it into usb it goes off in seconds and i cant add or delete music , If i try to delete music manually just using the mp3 player it says deleting but once again just switches itself back off. To get it switched on again i have to unplug the battery and put it in again . Anyone got any ideas?

RE: Write Protection

Hey, I've got a IITronics USB 1 Gigabyte mp3 player and it won't let me download or delete any music to and from it. I have tried all the solutions on this page, turning it on and off, changing the battery, fiddling with the hold button, etc etc. But nothing is working and it's really annoying me. Can anyone help????

RE: write protection

I'm having the same problem with my Verizon phone! For a while it worked perfectly fine, but I reformatted and now it says it is "write-protcted" and it's pretty well peeving me. I have the V and in order to connect it, I need to put the card inside another card and then into a digitalcamera... and yeah, its just complicated. Anyways, if anyone can tell me how to remove the write-protection, please respond. I have Windows XP if that makes a difference.

RE: write protection

I've been tryin to add and remove Mp3's and WMA's from my Mp3 player, but I have been stopped from doing this by write-protection on the disk, the message I got was "Can not copy *name of song*: this disk is write-protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk". I can't buy another Mp3 player, because obviously, they do cost money! So I feel this is a pretty vague reply to a problem, I can't solve! Can you please give me a reply, and help me solve this problem! Thank you.

RE: write protection

The trick is to move the latch to unlock position on the card. I suspect the cause is that some latch inside the reader is spoilt, and thus always in the ‘protected’ state, even though we do not lock the card.

This trick simply make the latch trigger into ‘write’ mode
