Have bought MP3 for my daughter from Argos which can be only returned if faulty. With all the comments I have read so far Im not optimistic at all and feel cheated that this company can sell a faulty product. Hope you all get sorted with your MP3's after all I buy something as a gift and expect it to work!!
Will be returning this to the shop and demand a refund if its not working properly. |

Ive been aboslutely everywhere with my mp3 player and the best suggestion ive had is to throw it away and buy a new one. Great(!) Does anyone know the phone number for the company, or better yet how to reformat the damn thing?!

i've got a 512 mb mp3 and i seem to have a different problem to everyone else. i can download music without any problems and there all there but when i play them back they play fine for a few seconds and then start skipping. my daughter has a 128mb mp3 and that won't turn on at all. i've had them too long to return them, no longer have the manuals etc and IItronics don't seem to have a website at all. can anyone help???? |

| | Louis on July 12, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
All we are doing is telling each other our problems but we are not getting any answers from anyone, not even Silicon Guide. Either someone from the general public help us with our problems or someone from Silicon Guide help us in solving these problems! |
|
| | Amy again on July 12, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
I know why it says no authority! I've sorted it. When you rip files to your computer from a disc, make sure the file is not protected, this prevents it from playing. Go to tools in the media player, then options, then rip music and then Make sure the "copy protected files" box is NOT TICKED.
Hope this helped! xx |

| | aj on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
Hi all,
Yea seems like a crap player all right, Wish I had done a bit of research before I bought my 1G but that’s impulse buying for you.
I have some help for the people with the 99 songs problems; It ‘kind’ of says in the manual that you should put no more that 99 songs in a folder so I guess if you have more than 99 you should create another folder…..
With my one, the screen keeps changing colour even with no button pressed, is this normal? Because if not I can bring it back and say its not working, maybe get my money back and get a decent player….. |

I just bought one today from Argos (an IMP-65) and tried to upload songs onto it and its not having it AT ALL!!! Tha manual doesnt tell me how to do anything at all, especially as i need help installing it.
Im going back in the next couple of days to get a new one (most likely by a different maker!) Dont think they'll be getting my custom again. I even tried going on www.iitronics.com to see if there was anything on there to help me and its telling me the site doesnt exist! |

How do you make folders? |
|
| | Saz on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
Not a clue...ive been trying that and it says "Unable to create New Folder. The media is write protected" |
|
| | Amy on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
Where did you go to try & create a new folder anyway? I'll have a go & see if it works for me. |
|
| | Saz on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
I tried creating one and copying it over, tried creating one in the actual MICIN.DIR folder..nothings working.
Reeaalllyyy wishing my iPod hadnt broken now!! |
|
| | Amy on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
I don't really need folders anyway - I only have about 30 songs on it! My friends got an ipod and it seems a better option now - they just cost alot! she's called Saz too.... scary. Anyway thanks! :) |
|
| | Saz on July 31, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
I dont need folders either..just dont understand the manual! It doesnt explain anything!! ""when you upload songs dont save them in the directory of MICIN.DIR" well where am i meant to save them?? Im usually fine with things like this, but Iitronics dont explain anything and theres no way of contacting them!
I know iPods cost a LOT more, but at least i know they work and are easy enough to use. |

| | Louis on August 4, 2006 | RE: IItronics IMP-11 MP3 Player
Amy Again thank you so much you fixed my MP3 Player's problems, i got my old one replaced at Argos even though I think it was the same situation with the old one as the replaced one. Thank you Amy so so much! Note to everyone: If you are trying to download songs onto your MP3 Player and they are protected in windows media player, go to Tools, then Options, then Rip Files and make sure copy protected files is NOT ticked. Then delete all the protected wma files copied onto your media player (if any), and rip them again. You should notice that in the box "protected" in media player library, that your wma file is not protected and should say "no" in the "protected" box in the library where the songs are stored. If it says "yes", delete the wma songs which are protected, and go to tools, options, Rip Files and make sure copy protected files is NOT ticked. All privileges and thank you's can go to Amy again if this solves your problems |

Hi all
Was given the Iitronics as a gift and it doesn't seem to work. At first, found that about 6 of 130 songs played, the rest produced a message of 'unknown format'. Took it back to Argos and received a replacement which won't play anything as all songs now display the message 'unknown format'. Don't know enough about these things to fix the problem. Also want to know how to creat folders. Can someone help. Cheers. |

OK- for all you 'no files' people...
goto your computers 'windows media player' maximise screen, select 'Tools', 'options', then 'copy music' - untick 'copy protect music'.
via, ARGOS, CMS periferals- 02089622542 the inovix 08717800079 - got this solution and informed them about this forum, the quality of their User Manual and their Customer Service! |

dang why did I buy this??
Well brought a imp-11 2gb, mp3 player, and was told couldn't return it by Argos, after a couple of times useing it, I turned it on to be met by the colour change but it had no writing on, and with out the writing I can't go through the options of playing the darn songs. All I'm getting is a blank screen all the time. I read through the mannual but it doesn't mention anything about it, Is there a way I can get all the stuff like all the options and everything that is needed to get it up and running again????? |

Why did they say you cant return it?? It's faulty so they should accept it back!! Seriously, people should see how many people are returning the product and just stop selling it!! |
