RE: problem with IItronics IMP-11

I have been having trouble with my 2gb IItronics MP3 player, I could not fit more than 543mb on the device, no matter how many sub-folders I tried etc etc etc.... But I have solved my problem where it says can't write to the device blah blah blah its full blah blah blah, Do what I done
After plugging your MP3 player into your PC, Goto 'My Computer' + Right Click the Device, then from the context menu select 'Properties', the device should show as a FAT formatted drive...
This is INCORRECT! It should be FAT32, so make sure you have copies of your MP3s that you have on the device, then Right Click the device in 'My Computer' and then select 'Format'

Make sure it is set to format as FAT32 and not FAT, FAT can not see past about 543mb I'm guessing, but my MP3 player now seems to be working fine after formatting it as FAT32.

RE: problem with IItronics IMP-11

Regarding the failure in loading DLL-facdll.dll copy the exe to a directory on your c: drive and then try it It needs to unpack some file hence the error message as it cannot write to CD However currently only get a timer on screen so not sure if it was sucessful

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

Hello everyone, I understand a lot of you have had problems with the installation/use of the IMP-65 MP3 Player.

Basically, I had a problem with the upgrade as it would tell me that the file FacDll.dll was missing when I attempted to upgrade. I also struggled to get songs onto the MP3 player.

I fixed this problem by doing as Peter Flynn said, I then created a sub-folder in the I drive (the USB with MP3 connected and powered on, so...crap aside...here's the solution:
------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This explanation assumes that your MP3 player is connected to your "I" drive (on my PC, it's a USB input)

-Put the driver into your PC
-Open the folder "Upgrade Toolv1.7"
-Copy and paste the exe file to the C Drive (thanks Peter Flynn!)
-Perform the upgrade (from C drive)

Now...

-Connect the player to your PC via USB
-Open up the "I" drive and create a sub-folder called "Songs" (or whatever you feel appropriate)
-Drag the media (songs etc.) you want into the sub folder.

The songs should now be available on your player

-Play the songs by switching on the player and pressing play :)
------------------------------------------------

RE: problem with IItronics IMP-11

hiya after weeks of getting really stressed and annoyed trying everything everyone said I worked it out!! I may have just been being silly tho' and not realizing, but you have to create a new folder and not put your music in the MICIN.DIR folder thats already there. hope I'm not pointing out the obvious and that this helps

RE: problem with IItronics IMP-65

I have recently bought the 4gb iitronics imp-65 from argos, the first time they gave me a different one still the same brand but it looks different and when I got home I realised it was not the right one as it didn't have background light or voice recording, when i took it back they tried to fool me saying it's a n upgraded version. SO don't trust them as after a while I went back to buy the same mp3 player again it was the right one finally and it works fine no problem what so ever and how do you guys get all the problems?

RE: problem with IItronics IMP-11

Hello,

I have a Itronics IPM-65 4GB and it works well. It has great sound, great looks a the keys seem to be robust but...

I only use voice recording mp3 files. I have never uploaded any "music" into it. Only mp3 files who are sound extractions from youtube videos using a "youtube to mp3 conversion" program.

Maybe that's the reason why it works fine... Does anyone can add something to what I've just wrote?

Thanks,

Rafael Leão
