Hi. I bought an iitronics 512MB USB MP3 Player. Thats the only name it has.The manual infers you dont need a driver with Windows 98 SE but you do with just 98. Or it may mean you need a driver with either system.I cant get the Removable Disk icon so Its not working. I`ll try to download the driver. Any comments in the meantime? Thanx. Mick. |

Hey all!
i've had the IMP11 512MB MP3 Player for about a year, and just today i've decided to try and do the firmware update thing;
i have managed to get up to the "MP3 Player firmware updating tool" window, but when i "select new firmware file", i can never find it..
i searched the CD thing i got in the box with the MP3 Player, but that won't work; and nor can i find the firmware file on the site it tells me to on the manual!
sorry it's long, but can someone please let me know how to sort it out?

I have recently bought the IMP-11 128Mb MP3 player and I can get it all set up - can copy over my songs but I CANNOT get the stupid thing to play!!
I cant even get into any of the menu's you guys are talking about.
It switches on but when I press the play button again to play the music - it doesn't do anything. I have installed the stuff on the disc but nothing works
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
I have a 2Gb II Tronics, it was working fine untill i tried to add a album folder, from then on everytime i switched on my player i kept getting a NO FILE FOUND message, i formatted the player added more files and kept getting the same message.. and today i formatted it again added several mp3 tunes straight to the drive not in any folders, still i got the same message, THEN I PRESSED AND HELD THE M KEY AND THE play/pause BUTTON FOR SEVERAL SECONDS (Together), and now it WORKS! i can add and delete mp3s with no probs.. wierd uh?
WORKED FOR ME, WORTH A TRY.
ps.. i pressed the M key first held it for couple of seconds before i pressed and held the play/pause button, holding them both for couple seconds. |

Hi, is anyone still reading this column since the last posting in April 2009, I wonder as someone who has just bought a second hand IItronics MP3 player?
I do not know if the player I have just bought is a model IMP11 because there is no model number on it anywhere, only 128M indicating the small memory size. I can only describe it as black, with rounded ends, one of which pulls off to expose the USB connector. There is a large play/pause button near the narrow display and there are three other buttons on the side for hold and volume up and down, as well as a mode lever switch which might be broken because it is rather floppy.
My main question is, can anyone tell me where I can find the program to use with it because it did not come with a disc or any instructions. If anyone could send me the program and any driver that may be required to work with Windows XP by e-mail, it would be much appreciated.
I discovered it would play some songs that someone left on it as soon as I plugged it into the USB port on my computer and clicked the box to say what to do with the device. However, I have no way to put my own music on it – and I really do mean my own music (eventually after maybe a few test recordings), not downloads, so I will need to know how to create MP3 files next. Some web pages say they are WAV files that can be created/saved with Windows Media Player (or Media Recorder, if that is something different) but some say they are not WAV files and maybe WAV files are used as an intermediary step. So, as you can tell, it is all new to me. However, let me get the thing working to start with and I will come to that later (hopefully). |
