Here are some instructions that you can follow to install this driver in Windows XP (this should also work with Windows 2000 and Server 2003). These driver files do not contain a Setup program to guide you through the installation procedure, so you must install these drivers manually as follows:

a) Double Click on the .exe file that corresponds to your operating system (e.g.: If you are using Windows XP, double click on “Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003.exe”.
b) A dialog box will appear asking you where you want to extract the compressed files to. Choose a folder that you will be able to easily find later on (example: create a new folder on your desktop called “Temp”) by clicking on the “Browse” button.
c) Decompress the files by clicking on the “Unzip” button.
d) Go to the Printers folder by clicking on the Start menu button and then choosing “Printers and Faxes” from the “Settings” menu (i.e. Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes)
e) Click on “Add a Printer”
f) Click “Next”
g) Choose “Local Printer Attached to this Computer” and click “Next”
h) Where it says “Use the following port:”, choose LPT1 (if that port is available)
i) Click “Next”
j) Click on the “Have Disk” button and select the folder where you unzipped the installation files to.
k) Choose your printer from the list of printers that show up.
l) Windows should now install your printer.

If you are having difficulty following the above directions, you can also try the following:
Doublc click on the appropriate self-extracting file and unzip the files to a location where you will be able to find them (example: to the desktop). Then connect your printer to your computer and turn it on. Then go into the Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel) and double click on the "Add Hardware" icon. When it detects your printer and asks you where to find the driver, click on the "Have Disk" button and point it to the folder where you extracted the contents of the self-extracting ZIP file. Then click OK and it should be able to find your driver and install it. You can also try right-clicking on the .inf file that will be in the folder where you extracted the contents of the self-extracting ZIP file and choosing "Install" from the context menu that shows up. Then connect your printer to your computer and run the Add Hardware wizard again if necessary.
