my speakers and sound were working fine but suddenly stopped working. speaker made sound when i tried to plug in/out. after reading this forum and playing with the speaker on control panel, i found the solution.
control panel/sound and audio device/ advanced..
ajust to middle level for all inputs. mine was set to min for the Wave and changing to mid changed back to mormal. |

Everyone..if theres no sound and you go to control panel and it says "no audio device", there are 3 options. 1- Just go buy a new sound card! On ebay there are 6 channel sound cards for under 5 bucks shipping included!. 2- Check one of the cds that came with your computer for a sound program. 3- go to Google and search audio codecs and find a site that has free audio codecs and download one. |

I have no sound coming from computer. There is a black exclamation mark in yellow circle and a yellow question mark next to multimedia audiocontroller icon. What am i to do now? I dont have any discs for the sound card, cus i received the pc as a gift from my bro.

Try removing the multimedia audiocontroller (right click on it in the device manager and remove it) and then scanning for new hardware by running the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard (available from within the Control Panels).

(Also I forgot when but you need to choose your type of PC on the
site)
1)Go to dell.com at the bottom it says support and click drivers and
downloads.
2)Go to Audio and choose either 1.(I use Sigmatel)
3)Downlaod and install and ur problem gone. |

I have Logitec speakers cpnnected to my computer, however, there is not sound coming out. the speakers are on ( the bright light is on ) however when i want to hear a song or watch a video no sound is coming out.
