Is it possible to scan without replacing the print cartridges? I need to use my scanner whether or not I have ink. Any way to bypass those messages and use the scanner?
Thanks...Linda |

Can the USB adapter on a psc 2175 device be changed. No matter how many USB cables I try, I still get a device error & nothing will print. |

Ok, 2175 tells me all the time to remove and check the cartridges (ink containers) im not a noob with pc's or printers, but looks like 2175 is SH*T. If you ever see this "Multimachine printer", destroy it! At least dont buy it. Looks like the error is so common.
I will throw my printer out of the window (i live in 7th floor!)
I will but pictures of it to imageshack later! |

The answer to all who own psc-2175, when you get the all three light blink is not your ink low. Just to make sure, get a strong flash light look on the inside of the ink chamber, your'll see either missing pcs of plastic either broken off or missing. That is the detection sensor to the ink head contact. |

The way I found out was to dis-assemble the unit apart since my unit is out of warranty anyway. What I discover was that sensor pcs was just a cheap plastic molding which wear out an broken off by the print head mount sliding back an forward so many time. It'll be way cheaper just buy another unit than try to have it fix which will be same or equal to the price of a new unit. |

Can I use as a copier only? I don't have a computer. When I try to copy only blank
sheets come out. |

| Maurice on June 28, 2012 | RE: hp psc 2175 all-in one paper jam will not clear
Started a print job, paper was pulled about 2 inches into roller, got paper jam message. Pulled paper out the front, not torn at all. Hit enter and error did not clear, ink cartridges slid to left and jerked back and forth a couple of times and stayed to the left. I slid the cartridges back and forth with little ease. Something is causing them to stay on the left side. |
