if u unlock your adapter (left side in the adapter) then the card write protection will be off. its the most easiest way to off the memory card write protection, i think! |

Ok. This is annoying that people who don't know what the problem truly
is respond as if everyone was stupid. Look. I have an SD adapter with
the On-Off switch. When I put the microSD card in that adapter I can
read and write to the card fine. But when I put the microSD into my
Kingston USB reader it now says that it is write protected. This is
something new that didn't happen before. Irrespective of which MicroSD
card I use in the USB reader the same thing results. Put it back into
the SD adapter and it works fine... back to the USB reader and it says
it is write protected. This happens with unlock without changing
anything! However, my presumption is that the USB reader is now
defective. And it doesn't matter how many times I put it back into the
SD adapter and switch to unlock/lock back and forth it is always seen
as write protected by the USB adapter! |

I have found a 4gb memory card, when I tried it in my phone it said, " Are you sure to format it?". Similar problem came in my PC. When I inserted it in PC through Card Reader, it says to format it but it never gets formatted. |
