Hi, I've got a similar problem with my CDRW -
its a Samsung SW-252B. My PC only reads it
as a standard CD-ROM and I can't find a driver
for it anywhere! I'm running on Win2000 Pro,

My HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8160B only works as a CD-ROM drive instead of a CD-RW. I have windows ME. Can someone please send me the writing software or driver for this device.

I have a simlar promblem i seem to have a corrupt imapi driver therefore nome of my cdr/w dvdr will load. Look at driver in device manager and says driver amapi driver corrupt how to fix any ideas |

check www.nero.com they have tools to assist and additional support for other cdrw's, if the cdrw hasn t appeared in the recorders... it may not at the time have been supported by nero...
also check FAQ at nero... they do have suggestions to assist you
and of course you could upgrade to nero 6.xxx |

i know this is only for cd-rw's but this is major well when i first got windows xp pro my pc was fine then i reformatted it a few more times untill i was happy with it but i jsut recently got a dvd-rom (not sure of the make) and my dad had to resore the whole windows with this norton ghost thing and now my drivers are sayin that
the disk my be corrupt it is not formatted or it is not compatble with windows
i have tryed goin to DOS and putting then right it worked once now it doesnt

I was cleaning out the adwear , and i lost the cd rom driver , when i put any kind of disk in either cd rom drives , a green light blinks slowly then a yellow light blinks fast and thats all it does, and cant recover the lost program . Also i cant use the recoverly disk , because the cd rom wont read it , Can someone help , i dont want to lose my files. |

i have a richo cd writer which when i bought it, it came with it's driver, but after the first installation of the richo cdwriter, i formatted my pc and not knowing that the driver for the richo cdwriter is no where to be found. my friend serch for it in market in other buy one bujt unfortunately it is not found then i was adviced to go to the net to check the site which i can download the richo cdwriter. |

you need to make a bootable diskette with this program and boot with her ..:)
it's working fine. cdd4401/73 = cdd4401/71. it's equal... this is from Romania. |
