Free download and instructions for installing the Lexmark X4580 All-in-One Printer Driver for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows 7, Windows 7 64-bit. For those who have lost the installation CD.
To install the Lexmark X4580 All-in-One Printer driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating system
by clicking on the appropriate link above. A window should then show up asking you where you would like to save the file. Save the driver file somewhere
on your computer where you will be easily able to find it, such as your desktop. Then follow the instructions below corresponding to the file type that you
downloaded
Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on the file. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions for installing the driver.

| Just bought new laptop with Windows8 only to find my Lexmark X4580 printer is not compatible with this OS. Lexmark website says it has no plans to offer update to resolve this issue. Guess I keep old laptop for printing or ditch the Lexmark for something new. |

I have had great success with the X4580 and have even managed to refill to blabk cartridge once which I thought was brilliant and at the time had endeared me to Lexmark. I would certainly have bought a new one and was even thinking of upgrading to a newer model. However, since upgrading my PC your software is giving me an incompatible cartridge message. This is a real pain and is removing my freedom of choice over what I buy and use. I don't like that and as such I have changed my mind about Lexmark to the point that I will be very hesitant to buy lexmark again until this chip idea is removed. I will now go out and buy a new printer from another vendor just so I do not have to buy your over-priced ink, and I will try to dissuade anyone I know from buying your products. I appreciate the issues with cartridge refills, but I am prepared to take that risk given the cost savings.

| About the inability to retrieve an application list for scanning: Try opening the Lexmark Imaging Studio, click 'View or change your network setting' if you are using wireless or 'Setup and diagnose printer>Advanced>Networking>Change your PC name and PIN'. The try renaming your computer or simply pressing OK (which is what I did). After doing this I was able to retrieve my application list. I don't know if this will work for everyone else; maybe I just got lucky. |
